The British Crew filmed the famous Wagon Wheel sign at night.

Cuba, MO:  The came into town, worked their magic, and left without a whole lot of people knowing that they were filming Rt. 66 footage for the Travel Channel that might be seen around the world. On-air personality Henry Cole rode into the Wagon Wheel Motel parking lot on his Saxon motorcycle followed by his two person crew in a white Mustang convertible.

They came to film the Wagon Wheel, but when they heard of that record breaking rocking chair just down Route 66, they had to stop their on their way out of town. Fanning, MO is about 4 1/2 miles west of Cuba on Route 66 or Hwy. ZZ as it is known locally.

With the renovations at the Wagon Wheel Motel and the continuing popularity of the big rocker, Route 66 through Cuba, MO seems to have a couple of popular bookends with a dozen Viva Cuba’s murals in the middle.
