Take a walk on the wild side…Another in Cuba MO’s series of attractions in the Cuba area…

Wildlife Unlimited offers taxidermy services and a whole lot more.

Wildlife Unlimited offers taxidermy services and more.

You might wonder why Viva Cuba might be promoting a taxidermy business as an attraction in Cuba, MO, especially if you don’t need  taxidermy services or sporting goods, which they also sell. But Wildlife Unlimited  is a combination of taxidermy business, history and natural history museum, jewelry store, and an art gallery. Glen Tutterrow, his wife Debbie, and son Curtis are the driving force behind the business, with some trained staff for backup in the taxidermy studio.

The ever changing displays and the variety of inventory make for an interesting stop on the road. The Elk by the outside sign might catch your attention. Glen built that when he found out that it was too expensive to have one made.

Taxidermy, art, jewelry, historical artifacts, special projects: they all find a place in Wildlife Unlimited showroom at one time or the other. The Tutterrows have completed projects for movies, museums, corporate commissions, and private homes.  The father and son duo are adept at sculpting forms and making other creative uses of their talents. They love a challenge that causes them to look for new ways to serve a customer’s needs.

Inside the shop, you will see the various groupings of animals, both large and small, in a more or less natural habitat display.

These beavers look like they might be in a face off. When you can see their size in person, it is easy to understand how they can be so destructive.

Curtis works with his dad, but he also creates his own projects.

Their store is located at 702 South Franklin (Hwy. 19 S). Watch for the elk out front.
