What was the reason behind this plane's name that linked it to Crawford County Missouri where Cuba, Missouri is located. Did the pilot have a local connection? Thus, the googling began. They leave their loved ones at home, sometimes to venture to far lands. How do they feel? What do they think about? Soldier George Smith in 1944 preferred the Cuba, Missouri water tower over the site of the Eiffel Tower.
