Cuba, MO area high school students tackle Our Town theme for photo contest

Viva Cuba is sponsoring a photo contest with a theme Our Town for high school students in grades 9-12 in the Crawford County RII school district. As long as students (14-18) are in the Cuba district and enrolled in a home school or private school program, they can participate. Entries should be of scenes within the city limits of Cuba and can be interior or exterior shots. Three judges with expertise in photography will judge the entries on technical skill, composition, originality, and compliance with the theme and contest rules. Only one photo entry per contestant is allowed. All entries must be turned into the Highway 19 Peoples Bank by the end of the business day Tuesday, November 4, 2013. Winning categories will be 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ($35, $25, $15). Photos will be displayed after the judging. Cuba, MO Animal Control needs our help with donations, adoptions, and foster homes. And you can support events that support Animal Control's efforts. like the one at Belmont Winery on August 10. Beau doesn't want to go back to Animal Control, but he supports their efforts. Beau says go.

Linnea Sanazaro adds sizzle to 2013 Crawford County Fair

Linnea Sanazaro who graduated from Cuba High School and then traveled to Los Angeles to study singing, dancing, and acting and to perfect her pop music act will be opening for the Saturday night headliner on Saturday, July 13th at 8:00 pm. So Cuba's hometown girl Linnea will be taking the big stage at 8:00 pm to warm up the audience for Joe Nichols. With her high energy dancing and singing, the stage will sizzle.
