The Cuba Lion’s Club is ramping up for their 3rd Annual Car Show on Saturday, September 12. Although it says Lion’s Club, if you are from Cuba, you will know that Lion members Bob and Darlene Mullen are the prime movers behind this event, which is held in the historic uptown district, just off Route 66 and along Cuba’s Mural Corridor. The Mullens are the owner’s Bob’s Gasoline Alley, a private collection of nostalgic car-related memorabilia.

The Lion’s Club grill will be fired up for some delicious BBQ, and other vendors will be present .

Judging starts at 12:30 although the car enthusiasts start arriving in the morning to register, arrange their cars, and give them that last shine before judging. Last year’s show displayed some fine looking rides.

Visit the car show, see the murals, and cruise 4 miles west on Rt. 66 to visit the Guinness Largest Rocking Chair.  And bring your camera.  It’s worth the trip.

For details on the show, call 885-3637 or email mulle628@fidnet.com
