Viva Cuba received the following note from a Cowtown representative about the Spyderfest U.S. in Cuba April 16-18.
Viva Cuba plans litter pickup, planting containers, and a midnight mural tour for the riders on Saturday night.
Let’s all go out of our way to provide a welcome to our visitors. The note went out to Chamber of Commerce members, but this is an opportunity for all of us to show Mural City hospitality to our visitors.
Hello All,
Cuba is being given the unique opportunity to be host city to the first annual Spyderfest U.S. on April 16-18, 2010. Len from Cowtown was approached by a Spyder rider last summer about the ride. What he thought would be a gathering of about 25 Spyders has quickly turned into a group of 100+. There are riders coming in from Florida, Texas, Tennessee, Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, California, and Canada, to name a few.
Cowtown has an exciting weekend planned. This group will be visiting Cuba as their prime destination for 2-3 days. As Chamber members, we would appreciate your support in welcoming this group to our town, be it a wave, friendly conversation, using your business marquee for a greeting, or offering a “Spyder Special” for the weekend. If you have a Spyder or a two-wheeler, you are welcome to participate in the events as well!
We’d also like to do our best to help promote your business at this time. We are putting together gift bags for the first 100 riders, so if you would like to contribute something to advertise, offer a coupon, or run a “Spyder Special” please let me know ASAP! I need submissions no later than April 15th.
The Spyder organizers are already talking about next year, and that’s a great thing for our town!
Here is a link if you’d like to learn more about Spyders, or see a picture of one.
Best Regards,
Vanessa Damouth
