Recently, this blog updated readers on Cuba’s Civil War mural artist Don Gray in the post “Civil War artist downsizes…with winning results.”
This week we received a posting from his Daily Art West site that tells of his experience of being in Hawaii for his daughter’s wedding during the tsunami alert caused by the Chilean earthquake. Read of his family’s experience in his March 7, 2010 blog.
Anyone who has ever been involved in an outdoor wedding can commiserate with the situation that the Gray family faced. The family is home safe and sound, with stories to tell, and Don has a new source of paintings from Maui.
