Although blue skies were showing in Cuba the day this photo was taken, recent winds, rains, snow, and cold have provided challenges around the country. What starts on the west cost as rain, seems to dump snow on the rest of the country. While we can’t rival the depth of snow on the East Coast, we have had our challenges.
It’s a good time to sit by the fire and read a book or watch the new Hilary Swank movie titled Amelia that is out in the rental stores now. I wrote about the film a few weeks ago when it came out. Although I looked forward to seeing it, it didn’t come to the local theater. A lady on one of the mural tours, said it was a great movie.
I was glad to see that the DVD was released. I have been trying to rent the elusive film for a week. I have my husband checking at Mace’s. It is always out. I have checked at the large white video rental building on Washington. It was out, and the owner said he could have used more copies of that DVD because it’s so popular.
I tried to get it at one of those red video rental boxes in Wal-Mart’s vestibule. I have never used one of them. It was cold and breezy that day when I was trying to find the movie in the box. No video. No video at the McDonald’s red rental box. There was a line at the rental box at Mobil. I had to be at a meeting and couldn’t wait. But I did find out that you swipe your debit card to rent the movie. I wondered if there is a charge for using the debit card for a $1.00 movie.
I thought about buying the DVD, but it is $25. I am too cheap.
My anticipation is growing for this movie. Has anyone seen it?
