A quartet of articles/blogs appeared this week concerning artist Ray Harvey and his murals in Cuba. 1. The latest Show Me Route 66 Magazine showcases the Cuba murals of artist Ray Harvey. The My Place Tire mural and a Diner mural at [...] There are Route 66 guides that do an excellent job of conveying the history of Route 66 and its attractions and guiding the Route 66 traveler. But one drawback is that earlier guides can’t tell you that the Route 66 Cafe in Cuba is no longer in business or that the Wagon Wheel Motel is under [...] In April, three Viva Cuba members met six representatives from the Society of American Travel Writers and three officials from Missouri Tourism at the US 66 Outpost General Store and site of the famous rocking chair. After boarding a rented van, we toured along Rt. 66 in Cuba, which was the focus for their tour.
