6 Reasons why actor Billy Connolly will remember Cuba, Missouri
Scottish actor, comedian, and musician Billy Connolly visited Cuba, Missouri last week while filming his Route 66 trip from Chicago to Santa Monica, California. He will meet a lot of people and see a lot of attractions along the way. However, we don’t think he will forget his time in Cuba. Here’s why.
1. His stay at the oldest motel on Route 66: The Wagon Wheel Motel
Connolly and his crew spent two nights at the Wagon Wheel Motel, a Route 66 icon.

Just fun times along Route 66 in Cuba. August 6,2011 is Picture at the Rocker Day, and everyone can get up to the rocker.
Having been there so many times and getting ready to come there again as we travel west to Amarillo for the 66 Festival we too must stop in beautiful Cuba – the mural city of MO – and enjoy the friendship, the food, the courtesty and all of the features that your city has to offer. This is both in nostalga and to current travelers of the Mother Road. We have loved her since the first time through and continue to express our feelings about her in our writings. Our motto has always been Keep Kruzin – If you don’t go – you won’t know and now Mr. Connelly knows. Marty and Geri Bilecki – the Kruzin Bileckis – members of Illinois and Missouri Route 66 Associations.
It is always good to have veterans of the Road like the Bileckis keeping their eye on Cuba. Tavel safely.
