Ok. you might wonder why a photo of a hunky Western guy is on Viva Cuba’s blog. No, it’s not a design for a new mural. Beautification is where you find it, and this cover art is another form of  beautification and art that is coming to Cuba’s Java.net at 418 North Franklin/Hwy. 19 on December 12 from 11:00 am to 2 pm.

New York Times best selling author Bobbi Smith, a resident of St. Charles, MO, will visit Java.net to sign copies of her new book Runaway, about a Texas Ranger who comes to town to get rid of the bad guys and ends up finding a new love interest as well.

Smith published her first book in 1982 and has written over 40 novels since then.  Although historical romances are her speciality, she wrote two Christian novels under the name Julie Marshall.

Historical research and traveling to locations of her books, give Smith’s historical romances an authenticity that helped her win The Romantic Times Storyteller of the Year award.

Smith also talks to writer’s groups and travels for autographing parties for her books.  I met Smith a number of years ago when she spoke to my creative writing class about publishing and writing.

In addition to signed copies of Smith’s novels, there will be free gift wrap available to make finding a special Christmas gift at Java.net an easy task.

Drop by Java.net on December 12 to talk to Bobbi Smith, linger over some great Kaldi’s coffee drinks, and try out a Viva Cuba “Mural City” candy bar while you are there.

Best selling author Bobbi Smith is known as the Queen of the Western Romance.
